"Labwiroro" Petersen assured us that this would never happen. He was wrong.

State Treasurer David Petersen will resign under an agreement with prosecutors that calls for him to plead guilty to a misdemeanor charge of failing to report $4,200 in commissions he received for selling character-education materials to schools, Attorney General Terry Goddard said Wednesday.

Petersen was scheduled to appear Wednesday in Maricopa County Superior Court to be arraigned on the single misdemeanor count that culminated a months-long criminal investigation that originally centered on allegations of theft, fraud and conflict of interest.

IMHO, Petersen got off pretty light considering.

So lets see if what that insider says is true about that charity that Petersen is the Treasurer of. CARE Partnership in Mesa. Everything I found shows he was getting monies from them as well an not claiming it. Probably in collusion with Beverly Baker who has a knack of getting grants from Mesa. Wasn't Mesa having financial problems as well. Probably used Petersens name as a tool to get money for CARE Partnership. Someone could easily check into that.
